I grew up in upstate New York, in a rural area of small dairy and apple farms. My family spent each summer at the Connecticut shore. I love the northeast, the inviting, gentle beauty of this area has greatly influenced me. I was born with an eye for beauty and hands for making things. As a child, I drew constantly, taught myself to paint before I was a teen, and embellished every garment I owned.

When it came time for college, art school was the obvious choice. My mom always said I had sand in my shoes, so it took a long time to get my BFA. But that was a good thing, because it was in the last year of school that I met my husband.

When our son was born, we moved to a small town where we could put down roots and build our future. As he grew, I had a resurgence of my creativity and started selling my handcrafted jewelry. In 2000, Trinkets was launched. I design and create all the work myself. My line includes one-of-a-kind pieces, limited production and commissioned work. I teach polymer clay to adults and children and am available as a speaker/demonstrator for groups large and small.
